Meguiars Ultimate Compound

Has anyone used this? I know the new Scratch X is pretty good and I'm thinking of giving the compound a go to give the Calais a bit of a spruce up.

Well I finally splashed out on this today. Initial thoughts were it was a little expensive at $33 but I guess it's worth a shot as the Calais was in need of some TLC.

Over all, very very surprised by it. I had no issues with scratching or the product being difficult to remove. I used it by hand with my polishing pal attachment and the only issue I found was that it gunked the pads up relatively quickly so I was thankful I had given all of mine a clean!

I'd recommend it if you've got oxidation issues or light scratching. It really brought a hell of a lot of shine back to my red paint.

I promise pics, but so far today it's had a wash, a clay and now the compounding so tomorrow is looking good for a polish, wax and then a bit of work on the bright work. My back can't take much more (I must be getting old!).
